Tigran Matinyan is a tenor based in the Netherlands, working in concert, oratorio and opera. His repertoire also encompasses chamber music and a broad operatic repertoire.
Alongside his solo work, Tigran has been a member of the Chorus of Dutch National Opera since 2019.

Training
Tigran completed both a Master’s degree and the Artist Diploma programme at the Royal Conservatoire The Hague, specialising in Early Music. His teachers included Peter Kooij, Michael Chance and Gerda van Zelm.

His concert work ranges from large-scale oratorios to chamber programmes, with a strong focus on text, musical style and close collaboration within the ensemble.
Tigran combines solo work with extensive operatic and ensemble experience, with text and dramatic expression at the centre of his approach to the stage.
